Upload file with extension XAML

May 26, 2012 at 9:33 AM

I'm trying to upload files with this library and found out that it works great for files with standard extensions. However if you try to upload files with extensions like .xaml or .zip it does not work.

Am I overlooking something ? Permissions, settings.

With the skydrive drive web interface it is no issue at all to upload such files.

Hi, thank you for using Pseudo Live SDK.

A while ago, I failed to upload .exe file. At that time, I thought that it is a limitation of REST API.

But, it may be a mistake for me. you do not miss anything.

I will investigate this issue.

Now, LiveConnectClient.UploadAsync() and LiveConnectClient.BeginUpload() specifies 'application/octet-stream' as Content-Type.

If I can specify a Content-Type appropriate, it may works properly.

Hi,

I do think it is a limitation in the REST API. They only support certain filetypes:

I'm currently using your library in a test project. I'm investigating to see what it would take to build a file sync tool. So far your library is perfect.

Hi,

Oops, it was surely limitation of the REST API.

So, I can not get over this issue. I'm very sorry...

I know that we can use WebDAV to access SkyDrive, but WebDAV is very slow ;-p
